League of Legends is … not really my thing. My wife plays, as do several of my friends. It’s hard to make out, but that big screen at the top is being used by one of the artists to show how he does character design in Photoshop. The picture below shows my wife talking to someone she described as “Mat McCurley’s trivia buddy.”
My wife, @_xkappax_, and I got to meet Jonathan Coulton. I fanboyed a bit and told him how I use him as an example of smart Creative Commons marketing. He’s a wonderful, polite person and during the entire conversation I was silently screaming.
My wife signed up for the Wildstar beta a while back, and today at #PAXEast she got to play it. The Wildstar booth was well designed, with a monitor that swung down so that congoers could play even if they couldn’t stand for long periods of time. Other game devs should take note.
Here is a screen shot of my map of all the Dark soil mounds that I have found in Valley of the Four Winds in Pandaria on my Priest. I know that can’t be all of them, but it sure is a heck of a lot of them.
My frost mage has a new transmog outfit that I put together with some quest items & some raid gear.
